Corbett Design Build is an award-winning home remodeling and Design/Build firm, serving the Triangle since 1980. We are passionate about what we do and are committed to excellence. We have two ultimate goals: to help you fall in love with your home all over again and to provide an exceptional remodeling experience. Let’s face it, what separates a good remodeler from an excellent remodeler is “the experience” they provide for their clients. Both can provide a quality product, but an excellent remodeler will proactively manage your project and develop a great relationship with you in the process. We will walk you through the entire process and keep you informed of what is going on with your project. We strongly value the trust and confidence you place in us when you choose to work with us and will work to grow that investment.

Remodeling Homes in The Triangle Since 1980!
Designing and building the unique space that works for you takes a lot of listening. That is what we do at Corbett Design Build. We listen to your wants and needs and how you and your family interact with your space. We find that this process not only creates great spaces, it also creates great relationships.
Every great project begins with a great design and proper planning during pre-construction. During our pre-construction process, we will walk you through all the necessary planning so that all of your needs and desires for your project are addressed and developed. We also work to provide a plan that will meet your target budget. We illustrate all building plans in 3D to allow you the ability to test-drive your design prior to its construction. This service sets us apart from others in our industry.
Our project implementation team uses systems and processes that keep your project running smoothly and your mind at ease and confident in the fact that nothing is being overlooked.
Let’s talk about your next project. Call Missy, and she will set up a free consultation at your home. We look forward to working together with you.
Barry Corbett, President
Barry graduated from N.C. State University with a B.S. in Textile Technology. He worked in that field for 3 years and realized it was not a good fit. He decided to look for work in the construction industry, where he had several years of experience doing interior trim and driving a backhoe. In 1977, a lead carpenter position brought him back to the Raleigh area from Rocky Mount. In 1980, after working together for a builder for three years, Barry Corbett and Dave Foster began a business together—Foster Corbett, where their emphasis was on remodeling projects. In 1983, Dave left to pursue other interests while Barry continued on with the business, renaming it Corbett Construction Company. Over the years, Barry has worked to build the business and to stay on the forefront of the industry through educational opportunities and the utilization of the latest technology.
After having drawn projects by hand for several years, in 1995, he began using CAD software to design projects. This service and expertise set Corbett Design Build apart from our competitors and gives Barry an outlet for his creativity and his desire to help people.
In 1990, Barry became one of the first 100 in the nation to earn the Certified Graduate Remodeler designation. He also earned his Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist designation in 2004. Through the years, Barry has helped to organize and support the Raleigh-Wake County Remodelers Council of the Home Builder’s Association and served as 2007 Chairman where he worked to promote professionalism in the industry and to provide consumer education. Barry lives in Raleigh with his wife, Brenda.
