This 1940s era home resembled a duplex before it’s exterior was transformed!

The new front elevation is literally car-stopping! The new gable provided room for a large walk-in closet upstairs. A new dormer provided space for a large new bedroom. The new stone patio, sidewalk and a stately cast-iron picket fence with brick columns adds charm and curb appeal.

The entire front wall of the house was moved forward and enlarged the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas.

Care was taken to preserve the unique charm and character of the 1940s home throughout the updating process. We installed new random width hardwoods in the first floor rooms. One bedroom on the second floor now boasts reclaimed white oak floor milled from timbers taken from an old barn in Virginia.
