Total Home Renovation & Makeover : The Moore Project

Mr. and Mrs. Moore had been following us through the STAR awards for several years before contacting us about remodeling their twenty-four year old home in Cary. Because they wanted to stay in their home indefinitely, they wanted to incorporate universal design principles into their home including adding a master suite on the first floor. Their wish list included redesigning their kitchen, adding a sunroom and large stone patio area, a wine cellar, a larger utility room, laundry room, pantry and a theater room on the second floor.

With these objectives in mind, we focused on designing an addition that complimented the existing house while updating its style and amenities, and also providing a more functional space with optimum flow. The new space was designed with 9', 10' and 12' ceilings to create a feeling of spaciousness. The enlarged kitchen was designed for two to cook at the same time with the neighboring sunroom encouraging entertaining. The result of this project is a stunning "new home" that provides new and better opportunities to enjoy life at home and to share time with family and friends.
