Bathroom Remodeling Raleigh : The Luckinbill Home
Type: Master Bathroom Renovation
The Luckinbill's objective was to beautify their 18 year-old master bathroom renovation include more modern features. The bathroom was completely gutted and redesigned within the existing space to create a very open, relaxing, and functional bathroom.
The new bathroom design includes the following new features:
- Whirlpool tub
- Pueblo chandelier w/ flame candles by Uttermost
- Two new under-mount Kohler sinks set in granite countertops with Delta faucets
- Custom furniture-style vanity and linen cabinets with legs
- Uttermost vanity lights mounted on the mirrors above the vanities
- Make-up application area
- Open curb-less travertine shower with pebblestone floor
- Travertine floors and a heated floor system
Although designing around the large circle-head window presented itself as a major challenge, it became an asset as the design unfolded. The whirlpool tub was placed perpendicular to the window to allow for a larger area for the shower and vanity. The lowered ceilings were removed, and the curb-less shower was designed without an enclosure to promote an open spacious feeling. Separate vanities and a large linen cabinet were placed to promote function and flow. Fine finishes and design came together to transform a once segmented and cramped bathroom into a spacious and luxurious bathroom retreat.
