Tree House

Spring has sprung, and with it the urge to get started on those outdoor living projects. One such project that we have been working on is a tree house for my oldest son's family–David and Laura and their three children, Bryce, Stacy and Jay.

David managed the project, of course, and not surprisingly, I got involved in the project's design and construction, and even drew it up with the trees.

It started out like most remodeling projects—it started small and grew as the project evolved. It started out as an 8' x 10' tree house with a 4' x 8' balcony and grew to a 10' x 12' tree house with a 6' x 10' balcony.

And of course, it has taken a little longer than expected, cost a little more, and we have had to make some on the job changes to make everything work. We don’t anticipate any further delays from inspections or zoning.

As you can see in the picture, our clients are very happy with the progress so far, and like any client, cannot wait for the project to be completed so that they can enjoy using and playing in their new home.
